Now and then I get this very logical question.

Answer:

dropstich

The inflatable SUP has on the inner side of thousands of thread (Space twine) from deck to the ground. This is called drop stitch technology. The threads are that the paddle boat is very hard and rigid inflation, but keep its flat form.

In the center of the valve the Manufacturer can’t make threads because there is no skin to connect it to. This causes the little bump. It is therefore no error, is for all boards so.

Manufacturers are experimenting with other solutions. E.g. the valve opposite of the  fin.

Analysis: check whether your bump against the valve. Untill now this has been 100% the case. If it is somewhere else please contact us.

Happy paddling!
